How musical bingo works and why it's a hit at any event
Musical bingo is, by far, the service that has grown the most this past year. The mechanics are simple: instead of numbers, the cards have songs on them, and snippets of well-known tracks are played until someone completes a line or a full bingo.
How I prepare it
I make personalized cards from a selection of songs chosen for the event's crowd (age, languages, tastes). If the event is organized by a company or a family, they often send me the songs they want included themselves.
Which events it works best for
- Summer campsites: a family and international crowd (Catalan, Spanish, French), ideal for a relaxed afternoon or evening with a great atmosphere.
- Corporate events: it breaks the ice and works really well as an activity before the more festive part of the evening.
- Family celebrations: birthdays, first communions or parties with several generations at once, where not everyone wants to dance but everyone wants to join in.
Prizes and rounds
You can run several rounds (line and full bingo) with symbolic or more elaborate prizes, depending on what the organizer decides. For large groups, I prepare different batches of cards so the combinations don't repeat.
If you're interested for your event, tell me how many guests there'll be, what languages the crowd speaks, and whether you have specific songs you'd like included.
I've put together a complete guide covering the whole process, how to set up the bingo so it lands on a specific song, and the most frequently asked questions: everything about musical bingo →
